Black River Pit Sand Classifying Operation
Our Black River Pit facility is located east of Saint John. This combination gravel pit and sand classifying operation produces:
- Washed round stone
- Screened winter sand
- Concrete Sand
- Crushed gravel
Salisbury Sand Classifying Operation (under development)
Our Salisbury Sand facility, which will be operational in early 2009, is located south of Moncton, New Brunswick.
Bald Mountain Granite Quarry
Our Bald Mountain Granite Quarry is located on the west side of Saint John. This facility is serviced by both road and rail and produces several specialty crushed-rock products. The full range of aggregates produced at the quarry includes:
- New Brunswick Department of Transportation (DOT) approved asphalt aggregate
- Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approved concrete aggregate
- Drainage stone
- Rail ballast
- DOT approved base and sub-base construction grade aggregate
- DOT approved chip seal aggregate
- Rock fill
- Rip rap and large armour stone for embankment stabilization
Future Aggregate Supply
Gulf is continually expanding its operations to better meet your needs. Recently, we obtained operating permits for two additional aggregate sources.
Gayton Quarry (under development)
Preparations are underway to start aggregate production at our new Gayton Quarry near Moncton. This high-quality facility will soon be operational.
Hampton Quarry (future development)
Our second new aggregate source is located east of Saint John in the community of Hampton. This operation will be developed at a future date.
