LNG Access Road for Irving Oil
The Challenge
Provide all of the civil construction services to complete the eight-kilometre access road to the new Canaport LNG liquefied natural gas receiving and re-gasification terminal in Saint John, NB.
Our Solution
Gulf Operators successfully conducted 170,000 cubic metres of excavation, crushed and laid 200,000 tonnes of rock and placed 13,000 tonnes of asphalt. The job, which spanned from March 2006 to July 2007, employed 50 workers at its peak and required a total of 100,000 hours of labour.
